Welcome to Hawkedon Primary School! We are embarking on an exciting year as we proudly celebrate our fortieth anniversary. Over these forty years, our school has grown into a community of over 600 pupils all of whom contribute to the rich tapestry of life at Hawkedon. In 2024, we evolved further and became a founding member of The Orchard Learning Alliance, Multi Academy Trust.
Hawkedon has a strong tradition of providing its children with an exceptional, balanced, education which goes beyond academic achievement. We are family school with past pupils returning as staff or becoming the parents of our next generation of children creating a strong sense of belonging and continuity in our community. This sense of belonging is reflected in our school motto of Belong, Be Kind, Achieve.
Our diverse student and staff body reflects the community we serve and we wholeheartedly embrace the creativity and variety that this diversity brings.
Our dedicated staff work tirelessly to ensure that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. As a Values Based School, we encourage our children to reflect on their behaviour and the impact they have on their friends, family and wider community.
Many of our children attend grammar school as the next step in their education, while others choose from the excellent secondary schools available in our local area. Regardless of their path, we equip all our students with the skills, knowledge and personal attributes they need for the next stage in their school careers.
We are proud to be a founding member of the Schools’ Learning Alliance, a collaborative network of over thirty schools dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for all children in the Wokingham and wider area. This partnership allows us to share expertise and resources, ensuring that we continually strive for excellence.
I invite you to explore our website which celebrates our children’s achievements and provides insight into life at Hawkedon. We are excited about the opportunities that await you and your children in our school community and look forward to welcoming you in person.
